Ten Years of Free Music, Outer-wordly Frequencies, Cosmic Chaos and Istanbul…

Konstrukt, has been founded in istanbul (in 2008). The band celebrates their 10th year anniversary with a series of special events this year. Although, they have already performed and recorded with such highlights of the avant-garde scene as Peter Brötzmann, Joe McPhee, Akira Sakata, Evan Parker, Marshall Allen, Thurston Moore, Keiji Haino, William Parker, Okay Temiz, etc.  First breahthrough for Konstrukt was the recording of Dolunay album with Brötzmann in 2009, since then, the band has been garnering the attention not only in their homeland but in European free music circles. As a result, they has been invited by international festivals like Saalfelden Jazz Festivali, Konfrontationen Nickelsdorf, Krakow Jazz Autumn, Tusk Festival, Zuma Fest, Jazztopad, Sant’Anna Arresi Jazz Festival, A L’Arme! and many more to name .  Their 2 recent releases, “Live at Tarcento” and “Live at NHKM” LPs have been nominated by Andy Votel & NYCJazzRecord magazine respectively at their Top 10 Of The Year 2016. Recently, Attic Magazine announced their album with Keiji Haino which was recorded in Istanbul and called dramatically “A Philosophy Warping, Little By Little That Way Lies A Quagmire” as one of the “Best Of The Year 2017”.
